Client Requirement and Creative Intent

Client Requirement
Client Requirement is when you are working with a client and you have to meet  the certain requirements they want. You have to think how you will shoot it, and in some cases they may give you specific ways they want their images to look/turn out.

An example of client requirement would be food or pack photography for a company such as Tesco. So Tesco are the client, and the images of food and packaging are their requirement. Tesco would then use these images to then help promote their products.

Creative Intent
This is the independent work of a photographer and they don't have any guidelines or requirements to follow - they let their imagination do the creating. Something will influence them and they will then expand upon this idea and see what creative images they can produce. They can be creative with the way the set out their subject(s) and creative with colour, lighting and shadow. Photographers will then use these images to promote themselves and show what creative photography they can do.
